The hour before sunset on Sydney Harbour is something that’s hard to describe until you’re in it. The water turns a deep bronze, the Opera House catches the last light of the day, and everything slows down.
Our Sunset Kayak Tour takes you right into that moment. You’ll launch from a sheltered spot, paddle through calm harbour water, and head directly toward the Opera House and Harbour Bridge as the sun drops behind the skyline.
The route takes you past Garden Island and Fort Denison — two of the best viewpoints on the harbour — before you turn back as the city lights begin to flicker on around you.
No experience needed. Our guides handle the briefing, the safety, and the route. You just paddle and take it all in.

What to expect
Meet your group
Arrive at the launch point as the afternoon light starts to soften. Meet your guide and fellow paddlers. We’ll do a quick safety briefing and paddling demo before hitting the water.
Paddle into the golden hour
Head out onto the harbour as the sun begins its descent. Your guide leads you past Garden Island and Fort Denison with the Opera House and Bridge ahead. Stop to take it all in — and take photos.
Return as the city lights up
As the sun disappears and Sydney starts to glow, you paddle back to shore. It’s a perfect end to the day — and a memory that sticks around.
